Accounts Receivable Specialist


Adecco is currently hiring a permanent full-time Accounts Receivable Clerk for our client in Markham, ON. Our client is a design and distributer of kitchenware products for professional and home use, looking to add to their dynamic team This role requires 2-3 years accounts receivable knowledge and education to be successful. In this role you will assist the accounts receivable team as part of the larger Finance department. Collect past due invoices; reconcile payment discrepancies; Process daily financial transactions supporting the administration of payments via cheques, credit card payments and other monies being received by the Company.

Location: Markham, ON (hybrid opportunity) Job type: Permanent | Full-time Responsibilities: Collections Related Contact customers for past due invoices, other related payment inquiries (approx. 30-50% of role is collections related) General Duties Reconcile payment discrepancies on assigned accounts Code, scan, and remote deposit all Canadian checks Code, scan and prepare all US checks to be sent to US bank, including preparing bank deposit slip. Download bank statements, credit card statements daily Process credit card payments Cash application Prepare credit requests and process credit memos Send out monthly statements Perform credit checks and any other support tasks assigned Qualifications: 2-3 years basic A/R experience with post-secondary education Strong communication skills, both written and oral Must be a team player, flexible in tasks and priorities while working independently Positive and professional attitude Strong knowledge of Microsoft products particularly Excel, Outlook, Word Preferred: any other system knowledge would be beneficial to understand in house accounting systems, ERP system to be able to adapt quickly If you are interested in the Accounts Receivable Clerk in Markham, ON, apply now and an Adecco recruiter will reach out if you qualify for the role
