Assistant Controller

If you are an experienced accountant with a background in mining who is looking for a new challenge, then this is an excellent opportunity for you ABOUT THE CLIENT Impact Recruitment has partnered with an established mining company that is on the hunt for an assistant controller. The ideal candidate has 5 years of relevant experience. ABOUT THE POSITION Reporting to the director of finance, the assistant controller will be responsible for, but not limited too: Prepare monthly and quarterly consolidated financial statements. Research complex accounting issues and prepare journal entries. Review cash sheets, weekly cash management and do reconciliation work. Prepare different regulatory filings and remittances. Maintain internal controls and work with external auditors for year-end audits. Work in collaboration with on site mine staff and prepare intercompany and cross border transactions. Ad hoc projects as needed. REQUIREMENTS Designated CPA 5 years of accounting experience.
