We also provide asset management services to institutional customers. Manulife’s Individual Insurance team currently has an opportunity for a Bilingual New Business Associate. We are looking for a dynamic individual who understands our customer focused culture. Initially : Data entry of individual insurance applications for all new business applications which includes review and related paperwork and payment handling.
Progress to : Issuing policy contracts including in good order review (which involves determining which amendments are required), review of issue requirements and creation of amendments as needed. Training: For this role there is a phased training approach. First you will learn to input insurance applications received. Progressing to learning how to issue the insurance contract and finally how to reissue if needed.
Key Accountabilities : Input Life and Critical Illness applications (Paper and online applications) Input personal, medical, and financial information from the client’s insurance applications Issue Life and Critical Illness contracts Print, binding and assemble all insurance contracts Self-check each file for accuracy before submitting to Quality Checker Meet the team’s benchmark accuracy and productivity standards at 98% or above Daily balancing of internal reports Able to manage and use the team’s online reference tool, job aides and excel trackers Demonstrate teamwork, flexibility, self-initiative in a fast-paced production environment Self-motivated problem solver and dedicated to supporting the business needs, i.e. overtime requirement Conducted research on a daily basis to identify potential gaps and issues that would affect the market position of our clients Manage customer’s needs and service expectations Qualifications Fluent in the French & English language (written and oral) Proven keyboarding skills with speed, accuracy, and attention to detail Strong written communication skills and ability to concisely correspond with internal teams Ability to multi-task and manage high volumes of work Identify and action follow up questions to ensure all information is obtained Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel Must be a positive, team player who understands their impact on the Customer Service Experience Must be adaptable and able to deal with ongoing change management Ability to research, identify a problem and provide input to finding a solution Knowledge of individual life insurance terminology and products is an asset About Manulife and John Hancock Manulife Financial Corporation is a leading international financial services group that helps people make their decisions easier and lives better. Primary Location Waterloo, Ontario Salary range is expected to be between $36,600.00 CAD – $61,000.00 CAD If you are applying for this role outside of the primary location, please contact recruitmentmanulife.com for the salary range for your location. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
