As we continue our growth trajectory, we are seeking a dynamic, passionate, and driven individual to join our Finance team as a Billing Manager.

Job Description: Reporting to the Financial Controller, your role on the team will be to help manage the team of Billing Supervisors & Billing Coordinators. The ideal candidate will have a track record of managing several team members while achieving great results and maintaining an exceptional company culture. This role will require an ability to dive into analytical reports and drive actions to improve billing performance. This role is primarily remote, however, the successful candidate will be required to work from our head office in London, ON occasionally.

What you will be doing: Review daily billing reports, then explain abnormal results and administer action items to quickly correct any shortfalls. Weekly 1:1’s with Billing Supervisors to ensure any issues or questions are resolved in a timely manner. Work with Billing Supervisors to create or alter billing SOPs as required. Complete weekly quality control checks through a random sample of invoices.

Distribute workload efficiently amongst the Billing Team. Work with Financial Controller to forecast billing production on a weekly basis. Manage vacation scheduling and coverage planning. Complete performance reviews with Billing Supervisors & Billing Coordinators.

Various other finance duties as needed. Work collaboratively with all Waste Solutions Canada team members. Meet or exceed targeted goals for billing performance. Minimum Qualifications: 3 years of team management experience.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Collaborate and work well with direct reports and management within other departments. Intermediate or above level of experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.). Formal leadership training would be considered an asset.
