POSITION SUMMARY The Business Process Designer (BPD) is responsible for analyzing, designing, and measuring process improvements across the bank. This is a dual reporting role, reporting to the VP Business and Digital Transformation and VP, Customer Experience. This role will help to identify and solve complex process problems that enable business transformation and improve customer and partner experiences. The BPD will make connections and build trust within various teams to deeply understand the people, process and technology that make up the processes our organization.

With that baseline understanding, in close partnership with the Service Designer, the BDP will support cross-functional teams develop optimized or re-imagined service processes, systems, roles, digital products, and other factors that make up the client, partner and employee experiences. MAJOR ELEMENTS OF THE ROLE Key accountabilities of this position include: Develop and maintain in-depth understanding of HEB’s processes Create deliverables such as current state process diagrams, value stream maps, measurement reports and process improvement recommendations, delivering these deliverables to stakeholders Analyze performance data & other business metrics Identify and align stakeholders around improvement opportunities Define and align on improvement approach, including the business problem to be solved, business objectives, scope of effort, and success metrics Conducts quantitative root cause analysis for various types of processes; define areas of “waste” and estimate the benefits of process improvements. Collaborate with the Service Designer to Lead Problem Framing exercises, Identify Opportunities for Improvement and Develop ‘How Might We’ Challenge Statements Plan & facilitate business alignment workshops Define and facilitate the implementation and measurement of prioritized process improvement efforts Guide process improvement high-level prioritization and backlog Identify workstreams required to scale the new services Collaboratively establish metrics and KPI’s to drive data informed decisions Create Testing Plans and Metrics of success for pilots Lead check-ins with working group on progress and monitor metrics Act as a steward for continuous improvement and innovation Design and implement improvements from pilot results Conduct ongoing testing and monitoring to make regular adjustments. From time to time, lead business process workstreams where process design and implementation is integral to the business transformation Contribute business process design practice guidelines to the bank’s innovation framework.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Qualifications At least 3 years experience leading operational excellence engagements Experience using Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen and other process optimization methodologies Solid functional knowledge, including but not limited to process analysis and re-engineering, process improvement measurement, and business transformation, Expertise leading cross-functional teams in the analysis, redesign and implementation of process improvements Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience Proven record of high performance and achievements in your past positions Attributes Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including reports and presentations Highly self-motivated, organized, and accountable; able to work independently and collaboratively in a team setting Comfortable with ambiguity, flexible and enjoys the analysis of complex problems Exceptional relationship building skills and the ability to work effectively with people at all levels in an organization, including VP’s HomeEquity Bank offers a hybrid working environment supported with a culture of flexibility – an approach that is unique to each person, and that enables both business and individual needs to be met in a mutually beneficial way.
