ORGANIZATIONAL PROFILE The BC Water & Waste Association (BCWWA) is a not-for-profit organization that represents approximately 4,000 water professionals, delivering professional development, certification, and advocacy programs and services to professionals across the water sector. The BCWWA exists to serve its members – individual water practitioners who are engaged in ensuring that the domestic water sector provides clean and safe water services that protect public health and the environment in BC and the Yukon. As a professional association, the BCWWA’s “owners” are its members – the association’s products and services are designed to meet the needs of members and the organizations that they work for. ABOUT THE ROLE Reporting to the Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) is responsible for advancing the vision and leadership of the Association, through effective organizational strategy and performance. The CEO is responsible for the planning, organizing, and oversight of all facets of its operations in alignment with the delivery of member programs and services. The CEO is committed to advancing an organizational culture that is collaborative, innovative, and designed to build inclusive engagement, opportunities, and partnerships across the professional sector. This is an excellent opportunity for an innovative, forward-looking leader who is dedicated to relationship building, program development, and service delivery. The position requires an inclusive, collaborative, and strategic leader who understands member driven organizations with a lens of building sustainable, inclusive, and sector-driven programs and services. The ideal candidate will have relevant education and training with a minimum seven (7) years’ experience in a senior management position, including experience in team leadership, financial management, program and service delivery, and community engagement. Demonstrated knowledge of board governance with experience working with a non-profit board is an asset. A combination of equivalent education and experience will be considered. The salary range for the position is $120,000 – $150,000.
