About the role Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Temporary part-time Community Recruiter to join our dynamic Donor Relations & Collections ONN team. The Donor Relations & Collections ONN team is responsible for supporting Canadian Blood Services by collecting donor blood in a safe manner to enable safe products which save lives every day. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the efforts of diverse donor recruitment at community events. You will attend local events to raise awareness regarding the importance of donating blood and blood products and encourage people to donate blood.
You will also work with staff to identify possible virtual events, activity targets and best practices for event execution. Awareness and promotion of stem cell on-line registration with appropriate target market will also be a requirement of the role. Formula for success Experience with sales, promotions and/or marketing and dealing with the general public Ability to initiate conversation and speak comfortably regarding opportunities to get involved at Canadian Blood Services Create and execute a strategic recruitment plan that expands our new donor database Generate leads and build relationships by organizing daily work schedule to nurture warm prospects and finding potential new opportunities Source and attend local community events to recruit potential new donors Creating and sharing engaging content for regional social media accounts Excellent organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks while being flexible Strong personal initiative and a passion for the cause Ability to work independently as well as part of a team Desired education and skills Some post-secondary education, plus related experience or equivalent combination Preference will be given to those with an interest in Sales, Marketing or Public Outreach Experience with use of devices such as tablets and laptops Experience with use of social media Fluency in English Required: valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle What we offer you Payment in lieu of vacation Payment in lieu of holidays Employee discounts, wellness program, professional resources. What you can expect Shifts include days, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays Travel requirements – travel will be required to attend mobile events, and transportation will be provided by Canadian Blood Services.
