Currently, Northland Properties is looking for an Email Marketing Specialist to join its growing Digital team. This role will effectively use marketing emails to connect our brands with their respective online customers based on insights & data, to drive maximum value for our brands and guests. This individual will own our email marketing landscape including list management, audience segmentation, campaign set-up, reporting, etc. with the sole aim of driving incremental digital revenues for our brands. This is a new role on our team and will interface with multiple aspects of our business focusing on building and growing this channel. Responsibilities Take ownership of the email marketing program development and execution, including automation, segmentation, testing, tracking and reporting. Work with the various brand leaders to create comprehensive email marketing campaigns that align with their overall digital marketing goals. Oversee creative development and implementation of on-brand and responsive email templates. Plan and conduct A/B testing to optimize email campaigns and automation. Ensures that all emails and campaign activity is tracked, analyzed and shared with larger group for ongoing program optimization. Create and implement strategies to improve email performance KPI’s, including decreasing subscriber churn. Map out customer journeys that can be leveraged in newsletters, special campaigns and automated drip campaigns. Act as the project manager for each brand’s email marketing content calendar, working closely with each brand’s team workflow. Maintain a solid understanding of email and digital marketing best practices, and email-specific regulations throughout North America (including CASL). Continuously identify areas of opportunity and improvement in the email content creation, review, and deployment processes. Leverage web analytics and sales data to improve strategies that focus on maximizing conversion, improving ROI, and optimizing the user experience across all channels. Own the email list management process & determine audiences for campaigns based on targeted outcomes. Assist with KPI reporting on all email marketing efforts, campaigns, and integrated marketing initiatives on a structured basis. Requirements: Post-secondary education in marketing – preferably with a digital focus. Minimum of 2 years of digital marketing experience with a focus on email marketing, marketing automation and digital analytics. Strong working knowledge of Google Analytics and/or other analytics tools. Knowledge of project management software (e.g. Asana) HTML and CSS knowledge an asset. Excellent English written and verbal communication skills. Excellent understanding of email layouts, copy, creatives, and branding. Ability to take the initiative to operate independently but also function well collaborating with others from various integrated teams. Strong working knowledge of A/B testing, campaign optimization.
