THE RESPONSABILITIES The Finance Leader will join the SkyAlyne team and will be supported by CAE Defence and Security Business (D&S Canada). The role involves setting up SKyAlyne’s financial structure, policies, processes and tools, as well as building a team of around 5 people. The main areas of responsibility include supporting major bids and proposals, financial forecasting, planning, business performance tracking and involvement in strategic initiatives. The Finance Leader role will also include monthly and quarterly financial reporting requirements.

Actively involved in supporting major bids and proposal. Provide proactive support and financial / business analytics to the Mission and Operation segment. Includes performing general and customized analyses; trend analyses, sensitivity analyses, profitability analyses, financial modeling, decision modeling, and ad-hoc analysis to support strategic initiatives. Maintain appropriate levels of communication with all levels of the organization and across various departments.

Prepare financial reports on a monthly basis including the forecast for SkyAlyne. Conducts thorough research and analysis of variances to ensure data accuracy. Supports the annual budgeting exercise for the Mission and Operation segment. Analyzes current and past trends in key performance indicators including all areas of revenue, cost of sales, expenses, and capital deployments.

Assists in the continued development & improvement of Budgeting, Financial Forecasting, and Modeling tools. Work on addressing poor performing assets and coordinate with operations to address. Strong project management and leadership skills. Implement ERP system.

Set-up accounting and FP&A finance organization. Negotiation with sub-contractors. THE PROFILE Minimum of 5 years of experience in a business partner role including financial analysis / professional practice; Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in Finance or Accounting; Builder profile who likes to set up systems and structures; Participation in major tenders and contract negotiation, P&L, and full-cycle management; Strong interpersonal, leadership, and influencing skills; CPA / CA, an asset; Bilingual (french, english)
