Hybrid – Accountant/ Log Payment Specialist

6 months contract to hire Location: Edmonton, AB – on site 3 days a week Day to Day Insight Global is looking for a Log Payment Specialist to join the Finance organization at the largest timber supplier. The candidate will be responsible for processing bi-monthly settlements to pay their logging and haul contractors and log suppliers. The candidate will also be responsible to invoice customers for log deliveries, collect and apply accounts receivable, and pay provincial governments. Other tasks include:Reconcilitation of variances regarding pay or receivables Collecting receivables and applying to customers accounts Entering log tickets in the Log Inventory Management Systems (LIMS)Must Haves 1-3 years of full cycle accounting experience General Accounts Receiveable and Accounts Payable knowledge Highly motivated self-started who performs well in a team environment Excellent interpersonal and commucation skills, providing a high degree of customer servicePlusses Knowledge of the Timberlands and/ or Wood Products industry Knowledge of Log Inventory Management System (LIMS) and SAP
