Management Accountant

Ocean Housing Group are looking to recruit a Management Accountant on a Fixed Term Basis until 31st August 2024. The Management Accountant will assist the Finance Manager in the effective delivery of appropriate financial information and providing support to the Management and Board members of the Group companies. This is a great opportunity to join our Finance team with the position being offered as a full time fixed term role until 31 August 2024. As the Management Accountant you will assist in the preparation of Annual Budgets for all Ocean Housing Group companies, coordinating the required preparation and analysis work with other members of the Finance Team.

You will liaise with Budget Managers, preparing working papers and assist in investigating and resolving all variances outside budget guidelines before the budget is produced. Specific responsibilities also include: Maintaining an effective budget monitoring system for Company Directors and Budget Managers, ratios, year-end out-turn projections and associated budget monitoring support. Leading on the preparation of budgets incorporating input from budget managers. You will support the Head of Finance and Finance Manager in the preparation of the annual long term business plan, including modelling and stress testing work.

Take the lead with the annual rent increase and service charge calculations Assist the Finance Managers with the completion of regulatory, other financial, statutory, benchmarking or statistical returns (including preparation of VAT returns) You should be educated to GCSE Grade A-C or equivalent in English and Maths and at least part qualified in accountancy (CIMA,ACCA,CIPFA). You will have experience of preparing management accounts, year end financial statements, budgets and year end projections (and supporting processes) Have knowledge of generally accepted accounting practices and methods. A good understanding of VAT and accounting software products.
