If so, we have the position you will love to make your own As part of the ministry’s Strategic and Business Services Division, the Planning, Reporting and Performance Measurement (PRPM) Unit leads department-wide engagement in planning and reporting activities. These include: business planning and annual reporting; development and maintenance of ministry and system outcomes, performance measures and indicators; strategic and executive team planning; and engagement, consultation, and facilitation in support of these services.
Reporting to the Director of Planning, Reporting and Performance Measurement, the Manager, Planning and ERM’s primary responsibilities include managing people and leading the development and implementation of the ministry Business Plan and the implementation of the ministry’s ERM framework. The position will work collaboratively with other branches within the division, Executive Directors and program managers from across the ministry as well as Executive Team to ensure that there is coordination and alignment between the ministry’s Business Plan, the strategic planning process, divisional operational plans and the ministry’s enterprise risk management framework. Qualifications University degree in Social Sciences, Business, Public Administration or related subject area, supplemented by four (4) years of progressively responsible experience. Strong knowledge or experience in project management, risk management and facilitation is preferred.
Related experience or education may be considered as an equivalency on a one for one basis. Knowledge of : Strategic, business, and operational planning, and reporting models and tools. Enterprise risk management theory, processes, and best practices. Project management principles and strategies.
Effective communication principles, approaches and strategies. Facilitation principles, processes, and best practices. Assets : Experience leading and supervising staff. Experience project management complex and fast paced projects.
Highly effective communication skills, including verbal (e.g., delivering presentations, facilitating discussions) and written (e.g., writing reports, briefing notes, etc.) are essential. Knowledge of Government strategic, business planning and reporting processes. Experience in implementing enterprise risk management processes. Knowledge of government strategic and policy direction and priorities as they relate to the Ministry’s mandate and initiatives.

Develop Networks – Proactively building networks, connecting and building trust and relationships with different internal and external partners and stakeholders. $3,147.32 to $4,235.37 bi-weekly ($82,145 to $110,543/year) Notes This is a one-year temporary position. This position works 36.25 hours per week, 8:15 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
This position is located in Edmonton. Calgary may also be considered.
