Our Client Seeks M&A Director for Global Acquisitions Ready to spearhead ambitious acquisitions and propel a fast-growing company’s global expansion?. Our client, a leading acquirer of mission-critical businesses, seeks a talented and driven M&A Director to join their dynamic team. They are open to candidates willing to relocate to the Montreal Quebec, Canada area. Relocation Assistance provided.
In this high-impact role, you will: Source and qualify acquisition targets that align with strategic growth objectives, generating a pipeline of $200M in buyable revenue opportunities per quarter. Proactively build relationships with software business owners, brokers, and advisors through various channels, fostering trust and exploring potential deals. Deliver in-depth financial and commercial due diligence alongside a collaborative team, ensuring informed investment decisions. Negotiate deal terms to secure profitable acquisitions, aiming for $15-20M in annual acquired revenues with expert guidance.
Contribute to a thriving M&A function, performing additional duties as assigned and potentially building and leading a local team in the future. To thrive, you’ll possess: 3-5 years of experience in investment banking, private equity, M&A, or corporate development within a capital market setting. Closed full-cycle transaction and deal sourcing experience. Finance, accounting, engineering, or related quantitative degree.
Sharp business development and financial analysis skills, including financial modeling expertise. Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time. A growth mindset that fuels continuous learning and improvement. Strong interpersonal skills for building genuine, long-term relationships.
Entrepreneurial spirit to navigate challenges and establish operations in new territories. Leadership potential to guide and mentor a future M&A team. CFA or CIIA is preferred, but not mandatory. Why join our client?.
