Senior Analyst, Investment Performance

Title: Senior Analyst, Performance Location: Montreal / Hybrid Reports to: VP, Operations Our client is a boutique investment management located in Montreal. Our client is seeking an experienced, skilled, and driven Senior Performance Analyst to become part of the performance measurement team. As a vital member of this team, you will be responsible for the computing, analyzing, and reporting of performance and attribution results for its investment portfolios.

You will work in collaboration with investment management and client partnership teams in responding and providing insights into investment portfolio performance results. What you will do You perform attribution analysis to understand the drivers of portfolio returns, including security election, asset allocation, and other contributing factors; You monitor and validate portfolio performance returns and investigate and analyze any outliers; You will collaborate with the various investment management teams and the client partnership team to respond to inquiries and provide performance-related insights; You ensure the computation, construction, disclosure, and reporting of performance composites follows the GIPS standards, and work with external auditors in the verification of these composites; You prepare performance and risk analysis, reports and presentations for internal stakeholders and external clients. You perform data integrity checks and controls to ensure the accuracy of performance Experience and Knowledge Bachelor’s degree in finance, statistics or a related field; Minimum of five (5) years of experience in investment performance analysis and reporting; CIPM designation, or a minimum CFA Level 2 candidate; Knowledge of the GIPS standards and experience in the management of portfolio composite; You have experience and participated in audits Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and have experience querying databases (SQL); Experience using the Eagle Performance Measure system would be considered an asset. You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills; Detail-oriented and have the capacity to work with tight deadlines; You have a positive, constructive and collaborative attitude with strong team spirit; You have excellent written and verbal communication skills in French and in English (English is required to accomplish daily tasks).
