Senior Bookkeeper

There is currently a critical need for a Full Charge Bookkeeper with our client to conduct audit, manage clerical staff, full cycle A/P, payroll, bank reconciliations, journal entries, month-end close, cash flow, and financial statement preparation. In the North York, Ontario area, Robert Half, has a client seeking a permanent Full Charge Bookkeeper to join their team. Your responsibilities – Maintain sales tax records and creates and files quarterly payments – Accounts Receivable – Prepare cash flow projections, as needed – Other special projects as requested – Condense business license and gross receipts – Update Accounts Payable – Qualified in credit card management and reconciliation – Iron out subcontractor 1099’s, and any other IRS year-end requirement – Organize cash account journal entries including loans, taxes, bank fees, 401(k) deductions, etc. – Conduct monthly accounting close – Record budget transfers – Assemble monthly reconciliations, financial statements and all supporting documents – Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment – Excellent analytical, organizational, and vendor management skills – Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision – Considerable accounting experience, including as a Bookkeeper preferred – Strong organization skills – Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines – Attention to detail and proven ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement – 5 years of related experience- Excellent written/verbal communication and organizational skills – Well-founded grasp of Accounts Receivable (AR) – Foundational knowledge in bookkeeping – HR Payroll System experience – Proven knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) – Canadian Payroll experience – Experience with Full Charge Bookkeeping – Knowledge of Full Cycle Payroll – BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business-related field preferred Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
