Senior Business Analyst – Finance – 6 Month Contract

One of Canada’s leading health organizations is searching for a Senior Business Analyst to join them on a 6 month contract to start. For the right candidate, there is strong potential for the role to convert to a permanent position. The role is hybrid in office 2 to 3 days per week. As an integral member of the Corporate Finance team, the candidate will support their medical solutions division with preparing financial reports, analysis and forecasting.

Key Responsibilities: Provide detailed department analysis of actual expenditure vs budget/forecasting including identifying expense trends and provide an analysis of variances Prepare monthly/quarterly financial packages and dashboards for management to facilitate the decision making and financial reporting process Prepares monthly financial month-end journal entries and reconciliations for assigned portfolios Manage monthly financial results and variance and margin analysis Perform profitability Analysis and report on Accounts receivable by portfolio/program/patient Prepare formal written and oral presentations to internal and external decision makers Assist with audits, perform in depth written analysis Perform cross functional duties as assigned or requested Requirements University Degree in Accounting or Finance or related field CPA Designation a Must 5 years experience working in a large complex organization in an accounting or auditing environment with exposure to a range of accounting, principles, practices and procedures required Strong experience with SAP, EPIC and Power BI Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Excellent analytical, problem solving and attention to detail with ability to identify trends and provide business recommendations Excellent organization and time management skills with ability to prioritize work Excellent verbal and written skills Ability to take initiative and embrace challenges Experience with process improvement Ability to work independently and as a team player If you are already registered with The Mason Group, please contact your Recruiting Consultant directly with reference to job 18081.
