Position: Senior Business Intelligence Analyst (6 Month Contract) The Sr. Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for perform leading the ETL transformations from source application systems to Longo’s BI Environment including data validations and ensuring accuracy of reports. The individual will work in collaborative manner across all the departments leveraging the data gathered in data-warehouse.
The individual will work hands-on with different programming languages to achieve the desired result. The incumbent will be involved in all aspects of the reporting and intelligence life cycle from requirements gathering, report design and delivery, documentation, end user support and report administration. The individual will be assisting the developments of current integrations and working with team on onshore/offshore developers to ensure the delivery of the product. Working as part of a team to support the existing infrastructure and to ensure that reporting and intelligence requirements are met in a timely manner and that maximum business impact is achieved.
Accountabilities: Analysis: Develop systems and support environment for analysing data to help drive and support business decisions. Generate ETLs and integrations for transforming data from source systems to destination warehouse. Create standard or ad hoc reports to enable business analysis, applying business acumen to Identify trends, opportunities and Financial impacts, linking multiple data sources together to drive towards a conclusion. Manage overall database to ensure all information is accurate and up to date across channels.
Create validation reports/alerts/notifications for the integrations running between systems. Work with the BI team to create, target and measure communications plans providing commentary and recommendations Analyses offer and segmentation strategy to identify growth opportunities. Develop reporting and analytic tools to empower users to access results Ensure Project Management methodologies are followed in detail for assigned projects (Scoping, planning and implementation) Customer Service Support: Consistently demonstrates Genuine Merchant Customer Service when supporting our Loyalty application software and other enterprise software by: Acting as an information resource by sharing expertise and knowledge for projects and software enhancements Collaborating with end-users, developers and analysts to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner Provide support to business to manage data integrity, such as exceptional reports Provide on-call and on-site support and problem resolution for reporting and application issues Documentation & Maintenance: Document all development and customizations, including report specifications, and diagrams Maintain the IT knowledge database with BI development documentation What we are looking for: University Degree/Diploma in Computer Science or other technically related subject or equivalent experience 3-5 years’ experience in Business Intelligence & Data Analysis including working with business users, reporting, analysis, and/or data mining to effectively leverage the MS Business Intelligence tech stack 3-5 years’ experience of implementing BI solutions in SQL 2008/2012 database, ETL, SSRS, and SSIS 3-5 years’ experience of designing, implementing, and administering solutions in MicroStrategy 3-5 years experience in scripting and programming foundations using MS Visual Studio, C#.NET, JSON/RESTAPI Experience in retail, food, warehousing or transportation sectors preferred ERP/CRM, Order Management, Warehouse Management Systems & MicroStrategy preferred Familiar with Oracle database, able to write PL-SQL queries, views, and procedures Proficiency in database access methods and utilities In-depth understanding of BI concepts of Data Warehousing, Data Marts, ETL processes and multidimensional cubes Proven ability and experience in applying strong business case analysis to new/existing initiatives and/or large project opportunities; data-driven approach Ability to understand project requirements, multi-task and manage time efficiently while working under pressure in a dynamic fast paced technical environment Strong verbal and written communication skills including creating technical documents and communicating with non-technical individuals Team orientated with the ability to work collaboratively Working Conditions: Work is performed in an office environment with participation in meetings. Ability to manage multiple projects and changing priorities with regular deadlines Travel to stores and warehouse locations if required.
