The ideal candidate will be a subject matter expert in translating documents within financial services. You will be responsible for conducting any required terminology and documentary research. Maximize each text’s effectiveness in keeping with client objectives.
Use management, research, and CAT tools judiciously. Work in close collaboration with content experts who develop and revise courses. Adapt translations as required according to subject matter and target audience in our French-speaking markets. Ensure that translations are complete and that there are no additions/omissions to the original text, the original meaning, or the original feeling and intent.
Respond to ad hoc requests from various departments within tight deadlines and meet agreed-to milestone dates. Attend meetings to brainstorm on writing guidelines and processes and to offer suggestions and recommendations for continuous improvement. Ensure consistency of translation processes across all our courses so that the same process is used for each project. Work with the Associate Project Manager to keep close track of current projects and deadlines.
Create, maintain and update Trados translation memories and MultiTerm term base. Work with departments to ensure files and systems meet the needs of all teams. Collaborate on projects such as creation and maintenance of style guide, onboarding guide, and process documents on Wiki pages and SharePoint site.
